In this role, you’ll be responsible for all supplier quality activities — from supplier development, qualification, and management to on-site audits, product inspection, control plan development, and production process evaluation and improvement. You’ll work with both new and existing suppliers alongside Sourcing and other functional groups. This is an opportunity to have a direct hand in the quality of components that go into products used in more than 140 countries.WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWNDrive the Supplier Qualification Process for all existing and prospective Victaulic suppliers in-country, in accordance with corporate procedures, working with Sourcing and other functional groups on the introduction of new suppliers, products, and production processes.Support all elements of the supplier quality management system, including first piece approvals, periodic production part inspections, product/process validations and improvement, control plan development and adherence, non-conforming material containment, root cause analysis, and CAPA.Assist suppliers in understanding and implementing Victaulic product specifications.Assist in supplier corrective actions related to internal or external failures reported through the SCAR and PCAR systems, leading team meetings on issues affecting product availability to ensure actions and status are communicated effectively.Support supplier development in conjunction with the Global Quality Assurance Engineering group, identifying opportunities based on risk and benefit — including improved inspection initiatives, leveraging technology, mistake proofing, capacity improvement, or quality management opportunities.Perform special projects as assigned by the Supplier Quality Supervisor.Perform trend analysis and establish ongoing supplier quality metrics.Initiate periodic communication with internal customers to ensure quality objectives are clearly identified and acted upon.WHAT YOU BRINGBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline required.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role, with demonstrated success in supplier qualification, management, correction, and development.Experience managing supplier quality in the production of cast and machined components.Basic knowledge of facility audits in accordance with standard QMS guidelines.Strong knowledge of fundamental Quality Engineering principles and techniques, including statistical analysis and related software.Proficient in problem solving and in the use of electronic systems and software (MS Office, Minitab, etc.).Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Able to travel 50% of the time with short notice.Working knowledge of measuring equipment.Able to make independent decisions without supervisory assistance.WHAT SETS YOU APARTASQ Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer certification.WHAT WE OFFERBuild A Better CareerCompetitive compensation with performance-based incentivesCareer development programs and internal promotion pathways—we build from withinTuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunitiesBuild A Better FutureComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage401(k) retirement savings plan with company matchCompany-paid short-term disability and life insuranceBuild A Better YouPaid time off and paid holidaysCompany-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Adoption assistance and an inclusive, team-oriented cultureBuild A Better WorldJoin a company whose products contribute to a safer, more sustainable built environment every day.IMMIGRATION SPONSORSHIPVictaulic does not provide immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, or other work visa sponsorship) for this position.
